Daryl Corpe – Senior Partner, Ulton Accountants

The Ulton firm has been a fixture in Bundaberg for over 80 years. Daryl has been a partner at Ulton for the last 20 years playing a key role in the rebranding of the firm to reflect its evolution into one of Queensland’s largest chartered accounting, business advisory and financial planning firms. Daryl also holds a private pilot’s licence with a Bonanza V-Tail hangared in Bundaberg.  Daryl has been Deputy Chairman for the past 12 months and was appointed to Chairman in February 2011.

Cr Lorraine Pyefinch – Mayor of Bundaberg

Cr Pyefinch was first elected to the Bundaberg City Council in 1994. With amalgamation in 2008 Cr Pyefinch was elected the first mayor of the Bundaberg Regional Council. Growing up and living in the Bundaberg region Cr Pyefinch has been actively involved in local community organisations and successfully managed the family business.

Dr Paul Bates – Associate Professor and Head (Aviation), Griffith University

Dr Paul Bates is Head of Aviation at Griffith University. He has held that position for almost two decades. Paul was a member of 23 Squadron in the RAAF Active Reserve for almost 15 years and in that role served as Brigade Air Liaison Officer to the Army’s 6 Brigade. He is a member of the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s "Next Generation of Aviation Professionals" Task Force and a member of the Education and Research Committee of the International Air Cargo Association.

Neil McPhillips – Director, Starfire Solutions

Starfire Solutions Pty Ltd are specialists in regional development and community engagements. Neil has worked with local government and the private sector for over 30 years. He has held positions in public and private companies, to the level of CEO, as well as owning and operating his own successful private companies. Neil is strongly connected and committed to his community. This is evident in his positions on College Boards, Chamber of Commerce Executive and as Director of two Cultural Foundations. He is also a keen Rotarian.  Neil was appointed Deputy Chairman in February 2011.

Cliff Fleming – Chairman, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks

Cliff is the founder and chairman of the family owned and operated Bundaberg Brewed Drinks. This company has been operating for over 40 years and is famous for its ginger beer. Bundaberg Brewed Drinks exports to over 30 countries around the globe. Cliff is deeply connected to the local community and has been involved with many local projects and organisations.

George Greaves – former Boeing Project Manager

George is a former Naval Officer and Senior Project Manager with Boeing working on projects that included the F-18, F-111 and the Wedgetail aircraft for the Australian Defence Force. George moved to Bundaberg in 2008 and is currently a Process Improvement Specialist with QMI Solutions.

Trevor Corthorne – former Director, Department of State Development

Trevor is a former Director of the Bundaberg State Development Centre (2001 – 2007) where he led a team of specialists focussed on developing existing businesses and facilitating new business opportunities in the Wide Bay Burnett region. His previous experience includes periods as a consultant working for both the private sector and the Queensland Government and wide business experience in managing and operating companies in the United Kingdom, Australia and South East Asia.
