The Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Challenge is searching for people to put their hand up to represent the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland and the Airshow as ambassadors. In the three months leading up to the Airshow they will attend several promotional functions leading up to the event as well as being right in the thick of things at the Airshow as hosts for the event.

The challenge is open to both male and female entrants who raise a minimum of $500 for the Leukaemia Foundation and have a business sponsor. (See terms & conditions) The junior Section is open to ambassadors 13 years to 18 years and open section is open to ambassadors 18 years and over by the 26 June 2009.

Approx $25,000 in prizes are on offer including a new car, holidays and joy flights.

Entries close on 27 February 2009. The Challenge will launch on the 3 April with all entrants fully decked out in their Airshow Uniforms. Ambassadors will also attend the Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Gala Charity Ball on Saturday 27 June where the Charity Winners will be announced. The winner of the challenge will be announced at the Airshow week-end 4 -5 July.

The challenge is a twelve week fundraising event for the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland. Every day, five Queenslanders are diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or a related blood disorder. They can affect anyone, at any time. The Leukaemia Foundation has a mission to care for patients and their families, and give them the best possible chance for a positive outcome. To compliment their medical treatment, the Foundation provides a range of support services including accommodation, counselling, education, transportation and financial assistance all free of charge.
