Aerochute Industries The Aerochute Dual is a two seater powered parachute designed specifically with safety and ease of operation in mind. It is designed to be virtually stall or spin resistant and in the case of an engine failure it simply lands safely as a parachute would. The Aerochute takes off from the ground with the parachute behind you. Once the engine is started the propeller blows the canopy up and the Aerochute takes off within 10 - 15m. Climbing and descending is controlled by using power through a foot throttle. Steering toggles (similar to parachutists) are used to turn left and right. Landing is achieved by backing the power off and flaring the parachute just above the ground. The parachute is an 15 cell Ram Air canopy. It is 370 sq. ft. and made of a rip stop nylon. The parachute is designed to be virtually stall or spin resistant. The engine is a Rotax 503 two stroke. It puts out 52hp. and is used with a 3 blade propeller. The Director of HilAir (Geoffrey Hill) enjoyed a long and productive career in the Royal Australian Air Force, firstly as an Engine Fitter with the final 18yrs as a Flight Engineer. With such a long and strong military background Geoffrey operates HilAir from its base in Perth as a lean and efficient organisation. In these early days the capability of the company is restricted to distribution, sales and support for the products from 3I, however the Business Plan guarantees good growth with capability to grow into bigger and better support for our customer and ongoing client base. Supermarine Spitfire Spitfires have not been produced since 1948 due to the complexity of the design that made it very difficult to replicate the original aircraft. Classed as an impossibility to make it took over seven years to develop the innovative procedures and manufacturing techniques required, before the first ‘all metal replica Spitfire’ in the world was complete. In November 1994 she took to the skies over Queensland, Australia. Supermarine Aircraft Pty Ltd officially began manufacturing Spitfire kits in 1995 and this year a 90% Spitfire was released.
