Procedures for Arrival at Bundaberg

Intro: The busy days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with Friday being a Trade Day with demonstration and rehearsal flights taking place. Saturday and Sunday are the full Airshow days.

Friday: The airport will function as a normal CTAF using 126.9 and 130.1 for ground movements. Two professional Air Traffic Controllers will man an advisory service on 126.9.

Saturday: The Airport is closed from 0930hrs until 1600hrs. During the show times above, the airspace is closed and the frequencies will be flipped with Airshow control on 130.1 and surface movement on 126.9.

Sunday: The Airport is closed from 0930hrs until 1600hrs

Visiting Aircraft Parking:

General Aviation: Parking area is on the NE side of the aerodrome. Access to the area is via a taxiway on the Northern side of R/W 25 OR via a taxiway parallel to R/W 14/32 on the Eastern side.

Arrival:

Procedure: Use CTAF procedures. Listen for advice from Air Traffic Controller. (i.e.126.9)

Taxing:

Procedure: Monitor 130.1 after clearing the R/W

Refuelling:

Refuelling on Saturday and Sunday, in GA parking area, by Tanker, from 0700-0900hrs. Normal payment methods i.e. Carnets, Credit Cards, or folding money.

Only if necessary, fuelling on Friday will be from Fuel Station on main tarmac.

Departures:

The Organisers are aware that the usable window for VFR departures on Sunday is limited by last light. There will be opportunities for a limited number of departures.

Please be aware of possible departure delays and your responsibility as P.I.C. to plan your flight to arrive at your destination legally and safely.
