To follow the tradition of past Wide Bay Australia International Air Shows, Fly-in aircraft and their crews will be made very welcome at this years event.

Important information for pilots
Arrival and Departure Procedures During the Wide Bay International Airshow, Bundaberg 3-5 July 2009

Where -
The Fly-In Aircraft Park will occupy the open area to the eastern side of Bundaberg Airports’ Runway 14. An additional area for Fly-In crews wishing to camp with their aircraft will be made available on the adjacent grassed area.

Camping with Aircraft -
For those crews camping with their aircraft, please be advised that council will NOT allow it, however camping is available about 200 meters away from your aircraft. Facilities provided in the "camping with aircraft" area will indeed be very basic - toilets only.

Accommodation 1 -
As an alternative to the basic facilities we will provide on the airport site, Fly-In crews may wish to avail themselves of the facilities - tent-sites, toilets and showers, etc - available at the Agro-Trend site directly across Childers Road
opposite the airport.

Accommodation 2 -
As we get closer to the big event, it may become difficult to book motel accommodation in the Bundaberg/Burnett area. Should this be the case, Fly-In pilots may consider booking motel or resort accommodation in Hervey Bay and flying to/from Bundaberg each day. To this end, Fraser Coast Regional Council has advised that landing and parking fees for all aircraft attending the Airshow on 3rd, 4th and 5th July will be waived. More details as they come to hand.

Rewards -
As a 2009 Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Fly-in Pilot (Crew), your rewards for participating in the Airshow with us will be:
Landing fees at Bundaberg on 3rd, 4th and 5th July 2009 will be waived for registered Fly-In pilots/crews.
Registered Fly-In Aircraft “Park for Free” in the Fly-In Aircraft Park.
Registered Fly-In Pilots and Crew will be admitted “FREE” to the Airshow. All we ask, is that when you check-in for Airshow entry, please drop your gold coin donation into one of the charity tins being rattled by our collectors.
To take full advantage of these Fly-In rewards, it is important for Fly-In Pilots/Crews to register early.

Flight Operations -
Matters such as Air Traffic Control, radio frequencies, ground handling and marshalling aspects will be the subject of
the usual NOTAM.

Do’s and Don’ts -
As always they are a few rules and regulations with which we must all comply:
Do Not bring Eskies or Cooler bags onto the Airshow site. Entry will be refused.
Do Not bring Pets
Do enjoy yourself.
