MEDIA AFFILIATION

To follow the tradition of past Wide Bay Australia International Air Shows, the media, aviation journalists and photographers will be made very welcome at this years event.

Where -
On arrival, please check-in at the Airshow Office to confirm your registration and receive applicable tickets, wristbands and passes.

Background -
From June to October, the Bundaberg region is in the middle of cane crush season. Cane-fires are plentiful and tend to create a thick and smoky haze over the whole region. Not ideal for photography, so be prepared.
The main runway at Bundaberg Airport is oriented on a near-North/South (32/14) axis.
The Airshow venue is located wholly on the eastern side of the main runway as far as the Runway 07/25 intersection.
From about 1300hrs local time, the westerly Sun will create backlight issues for photographers.

Meals/Accommodation -
Accredited Media are responsible for their own meals and accommodation. Should accommodation bookings become difficult, media visitors may wish to avail themselves of the temporary facilities - meals, tent-sites, toilets and showers, etc - provided by local Rotary at the Agro-Trend site across Childers Road, and directly opposite the airport.

Rewards -
As a 2009 Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Accredited Media, rewards for participating in the Airshow with us will be:
Free entry to the Airshow venue each day. All we ask, is that when you check-in for Airshow entry, please drop your gold coin donation into one of the charity tins being rattled by our collectors.
Accredited Media may use the Staff / Volunteer Car Park. (Your parking permit will be emailed to you.)

To receive these Media rewards, it is important that media representatives register early.
