2011 Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Challenge
What is the Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Challenge?
The Challenge is a chance for anyone to become involved in a fantastic fundraising event to benefit patients and their families assisted by the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland.
Upon entering, you will become an ambassador for the 2011 Wide Bay Australia International Airshow and the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland for three months leading up to the 19-21 August 2011 Airshow. You will have the opportunity to make the world a better place and chances are you will have the time of your life, meet interesting people, gain new skills and build self-confidence. You will do all this while creating a brighter future for the estimated five Queenslanders diagnosed every day with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or related blood disorder.
You may have an interest in aviation or you might just want to get involved in a fantastic major event. The challenge is open to all Queenslanders aged 6 and over. Entry is open to both male and female ambassadors in the following sections:
- Junior 6-15 years
- Open 16 and over
- Teams (two or more members any age).
How can you become an Airshow Challenge Ambassador?
To enter you will need to pay an entry fee of ($50 for 6-15 years) or ($75 for 16 and over). As part of your entry fee you will be given an Airshow ambassador shirt and hat. You will then have three months to raise vital funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, while raising awareness of the Airshow. Each ambassador will be required to host a promotional event during Airshow week. Assistance will be given by the Leukaemia Foundation with fundraising and your promotional event.
Entries are required by 1 May 2011 to attend the Challenge launch on 18th May.
Fundraising starts on Monday, 18 May 2011 and closes on Monday, 15 August 2011. The Airshow Challenge title will be awarded in three sections (Junior, Open and Teams).
Fundraising Prizes:
Fundraising for the fundraising award closes on Monday, 15 August 2011.
Prizes for highest fundraisers are:
- Junior — $1,000 Wide Bay Australia Bank Account
- Open — $1,000 Wide bay Australia Bank Account
- Team — a fun golf day to the value of $1,500 at a course and time of your choice.
Every Ambassador that raises over $500 will receive a one-day pass to the Airshow.
The following High Achiever’s Awards will be presented to every ambassador raising more than $1,500 by 1 August 2011
- Airshow Chalet Experience Saturday 20th August.
