The Wide Bay Australia International Airshow will grant complimentary media accreditation to journalists, photographers and videographers who are engaged by established print and electronic media organisations and are attending the airshow as part of their employment duties.

Members of the Media that was wish to attend the Airshow are required to apply for Official Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Media Accreditation.

Free Lance Media

Freelance Media personal may also be granted accreditation provided that a covering letter on company letterhead from the assigning editor or chief of staff confirming the applicant's assignment is produced and a sample of work are submitted.

Media Accreditation may also be granted to a limited number of amateur and semi professional photographers who wish to participate for their own non-commercial purposes at the discretion of the Airshow Event Manager.

Previous Airshow media accreditation does not automatically guarantee approval of media access to the 2011 Airshow. Wide Bay Australia International Airshow management reserve the right to limit the number of passes granted to an organisation or revoke an accreditation application.

The Managers, Flight Operations Group may also at their discretion limit the access to certain airside locations during the event in the interest of safety.

General Media Accreditation Information

  • Media Personal must be over the age of 18years of age.
  • Members of the media are required to supply and wear high visibility vests when operating within active areas of the event.
  • Only accredited media pass holders will be able to access "performer & media only" areas.
  • Media passes are non transferable.
  • Wide Bay Australia International Airshow will not take responsibility for any loss or damage of equipment whilst at the event.

    Inclusions

    ·      Entry

    Entry at 7am and 8am prior to general public to allow photographs of aircraft.  This will be accessible by guided tour only.  There is no access to the restricted area except during the guided tour. All personnel on these tours must comply with rules and regulations.  Strict times must be adhered to.Failure to comply with instructions from marshals and security personnel may result in expulsion from the Airshow.

    ·      Flight line reserved space for unrestricted photography.

    Seating – there will be two areas allocated on the flight line for photographer pass and media pass holders only.  Seating is not allocated and you can move between the two areas freely.  These areas will be marshalled and the Pass must be worn at all times to ensure access.

    ·      $65 per day or $115 for two days (Saturday and Sunday)
