Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Reaches New Heights
Preparations for the 2011 Wide Bay Australia International Airshow have gained momentum with the official launch and announcement of program highlight - Matt Hall, Australian Red Bull Air Racer. As part of his commitment to the event program Matt will be guest speaker at the official launch of the Wide Bay Australia International Airshow 2011 on Wednesday night.
"Matt Hall will be an absolute highlight to our 2011 air program. He has dedicated his life to flying with more than 4,000 hours in various aircraft types, including over 500 doing aerobatics. This will definitely be an aerobatic spectacular not to be missed" said Mr Peter Tuffield, Chairman Wide Bay Australia International Airshow Board.
"We are delighted to have him in Bundaberg and he will be a valued addition to our launch" said Mr Tuffield.
Hall, who spent almost two decades in the Royal Australian Air Force before becoming the most successful rookie in the history of the Air Race World Championships, said he was honoured to be part of the Wide Bay Australia International Airshow.
"I have wanted to be part of the Wide Bay Australia International Airshow for a long time and to get this opportunity in 2011 is something I am very much looking forward to," Hall said.
"I love that part of Queensland too and to be able to help launch the event is a bonus."
Launch highlights include the revealing of Barnstorming Bundaberg – A new style of aviation spectacular and recognising the ongoing support from our major sponsor Wide Bay Australia LTD and our other valued sponsors.
