Wide Bay Australia International Airshow 2011
At a recent meeting, the Board of Directors of the Wide Bay Australia International
Airshow, discussed the impact that the recent series of floods have had on our region and
state.

It was acknowledged that the floods have had a detrimental impact on the homes,
businesses and livelihood of many members of this community. It is with this knowledge
at heart that the Directors reaffirmed their commitment to event.
"We see this event as having the ability to bring positive economic impacts back into our
community. We feel a responsibility to help our community rebuild and know that the
Airshow can help with our economic recovery" said Daryl Corpe, Deputy Chairperson.
Directors and staff are more determined than ever to deliver on our commitment to:
- Foster and promote aviation and aviation related industries in the Wide Bay
Region.

- Promote the Wide Bay Region as a tourism destination.
- Support selected charities.
Our strategies include maintaining the event and Wide Bay region's competitive
advantage as Australia's premier location to experience aviation industry, to encourage
our aviation industry to adopt a coordinated approach to promoting Wide Bay as a premier
aviation industry location and benefits of lifestyle opportunities and to facilitate a coordinated
approach to the marketing of the Bundaberg and Fraser Coast regions.
"Our region has lost substantially economically, socially and culturally but we will
recover and we are committed to hosting the best Wide Bay Australia International
Airshow to date' said Daryl Corpe.
