Volunteers Gear Up for Airshow Training
With only three weeks to go until the Wide Bay Australia International Airshow 2011
organisers are thrilled with the support of the local and aviation communities.
Registrations are now closed with over 300 volunteers willing to support the event through
the donation of their time, skills and enthusiasm.
"It is great to see that we have such great support from the community. Without
volunteers events of this scale would not be possible." said Mr Daryl Corpe, Chairperson,
Wide Bay Australia International Airshow.
Training will now commence for all volunteers over the next three weeks including
workshop, practical and on-line. Aspects such as Health and Safety, Emergency
Procedures, Customer Service, Communications and event logistics will be covered.
"Volunteers will receive event specific training to ensure that they are well equipped to
fulfill their volunteer roles. We believe training and skill development are our
responsibility and it is an essential element for our event's success" said Mr Corpe.
The 2011 Wide Bay Australia International Airshow rediscovers the performance of days
gone by. Come and be entertained - 19th - 21st August 2011. You won't be disappointed!
Tickets can be pre-purchased online via www.widebayairshow.com.au, through RACQ or
at the event.
